The Straits Times

A housewife had her gold necklace worth $400 snatched in a lift on Tuesday evening.

The victim in her late 20s was in the lift at Block 137 Yishun Ring Road when the theft took place.

The thief, who was in the same lift, stopped the woman from exiting the lift on the 11th floor.

He then grabbed the victim's necklace while the lift was going down to the first floor, and fled.
