SUBSCRIBERS to high-definition cable television here, currently starved of such channels, will soon get another one - for free.

Mediacorp's HD Channel 5 service will be available to StarHub's high-definition TV subscribers from next month under a deal signed by both parties recently.

The move will allow StarHub's HD customers to watch popular programmes such as Lost, movies like The Lord of The Rings, and special events including the Beijing Olympics in crisp, clear detail.
