CHINA- A dog chased its master to a police station upon the man's arrest for drunk driving in Kaohsiung City last month, the Apple Daily has reported. The 52-year-old man, surnamed Cheng, was driving drunk around 1 a.m. on June 21 with his black dog in the car before police asked him to pull over for a breathalyzer test.

Cheng, whose driver's license had been suspended for intoxicated driving, was later taken back to the police station for having a blood alcohol level beyond legal limits, police said.

Before he got into the police car, Cheng told his dog to go home first, but the loyal pet instead ran after the vehicle for some 10 km to the police station.

Since Cheng did not cause any accidents during his unlawful driving, prosecutors allowed him to go home with his dog after 30 minutes of questioning.

The police have sent the case to prosecutors.
