ACS(I) principal behaved inappropriately towards male teacher

The former principal of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Dr Ong Teck Chin, behaved inappropriately towards a male teacher, said an investigating panel.

'His conduct has fallen short of the standards expected of a principal,' said a joint statement by the ACS Board of Governors and the ACS(I) Board of Management on Monday.

The joint statement also said: 'Dr Ong deeply regrets his actions and has apologised'.

The teacher in question, biology teacher Mr Mark Richie Tan has retracted his resignation and has resumed teaching at the school.
