SPH Magazines Pte Ltd ("SPH Magazines") recently bagged three awards for its custom-published titles at the APEX Awards 2012, including a Grand Award.
The 24th annual Awards for Publication Excellence recognises outstanding work in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. It received close to 3,400 entries this year.
SilverKris, The Travel Magazine of Singapore Airlines, clinched a Grand Award in the Design and Illustration category. The Grand Award is only awarded to the top 100 outstanding entries among the thousands of entries received each year. Judges praised SilverKris for its "stunning, varied spreads, which still manage to carry through the magazine's central design theme", as well as world class photography with informative captions.
Two other titles were also honoured with Awards of Excellence. Savour, the quarterly publication of Cold Storage, received an Award of Excellence in the Custom-Published Magazines and Journals category.
Singapore Nautilus received an Award of Excellence in Illustration and Typography. The quarterly magazine of the Maritime and Authority of Singapore covers local and international maritime issues.
