Olsen to help raise funds for Special Olympics

By JILL ALPHONSO

NOMINATED Member of Parliament Eunice Olsen will be at Fair- Price Xtra in Ang Mo Kio Hub today to help raise funds for the 7th National Special Olympics.

Ms Olsen, 31, a brand ambassador for coffee brand Nescafe Gold, will work with athletes from the Special Olympics Singapore team to help rally shoppers to buy jars of Nescafe Gold.

The brand is donating $5,000 to the Special Olympics for the production of their theme-song album.

Nescafe hopes to raise another $5,000 for the Special Olympics through sales of its coffee today.

The Special Olympics team comprises intellectually disabled athletes.

The theme-song album would help raise funds for the games, which start on June 5.

Want to help support the Special Olympics? Head down to FairPrice Xtra at Ang Mo Kio Hub, Basement 1, today at 2.45pm.
