Jackie Chan's CZ12 breaks box-office record here

JACKIE Chan has fought his way into the record books.

The 58-year-old Hong Kong action star's latest movie CZ12 has broken the all-time box office record for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan movies in Singapore, collecting $4.67 million as of Thursday after 22 days in cinemas.

CZ12 took the top spot from Ip Man 2, which starred Donnie Yen and grossed $4.66 million. There was also good news for local movie Taxi! Taxi!, which grossed $592,000 in its opening week from Jan 3-9.

The comedy, starring Mark Lee and Gurmit Singh, beat Chow Yun Fat's The Last Tycoon, which opened on the same day.
