Boy Thunder to helm HOT FM's new Hot Breakfast show

SINGAPORE - Introducing the all new HOT FM91.3 Morning Drive Time show - HOT FM's HOT Breakfast with Boy Thunder, Adam & Josh!

Come Monday, January 21, 6am, the trio will helm HOT FM91.3's morning show. Be prepared for a lot of fun as well as energy on the streets!

Commenting on this move, Boy Thunder, or BT as he's known, said: "Being a DJ, to me, is to be able to interact with listeners not just on-air, but on the ground too. Many of our listeners have become our friends as they can relate to what we are talking about and the songs we play. With this new show, we plan to continue with just that and have more interaction on the streets and online with listeners during the show."

BT is not new to HOT FM's listeners. He joined the station as an intern in 2008 and moved up to lead the Hot 30 Countdown. Since then, BT has been receiving good reviews from listeners and media, and was most recently nominated for the Best Breakthrough Artist category by The New Paper Flame Awards. BT also trended tops on Twitter several times, gaining responses from International artistes like One Direction, Jedward and The Wanted. He was the only Singapore Radio DJ invited to travel with Rihanna for her recent "777 tour" to four different countries.

Along with BT, Adam and Josh have also been behind the HOT 30 Countdown, adding their touch of humour and quirkiness to the nightly show.

HOT FM's HOT Breakfast with BT, Adam & Josh will be followed by JJ, from 10am, playing the latest and hottest hits. Cheryl Miles comes on at 4pm to take you home. Charmaine Yee will take over as host of the HOT 30 Countdown playing the hottest songs of the day voted by listeners.

HOT FM91.3 will remain as an English Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) music station with its mix of new and current top 40 hits - it is this that made Hot FM91.3 well known for identifying and playing songs before they are hits. Listeners are given control of the playlist through Hot FM91.3's online feedback platform called "Rate The Hits", which allows listeners to directly influence which songs they want to hear, and how often.

The station will continue engagement efforts with its listeners through on-ground events such as its signature "Must Drink Friday" held on the last Friday of the month with free flow of drinks and interaction with their favourite DJs. Hot FM also engages its listeners on the streets with car decal giveaways and live broadcasts, in schools with Recess Express school visits, online with Facebook, Twitter and the station website, and on Mobile with Hot FM's iPhone & Android apps.
