SINGAPORE - Come Wednesday, your household may be part of the annual Comprehensive Labour Force Survey.
Between May 23 to May 31, the Manpower Research and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will survey 33,000 households.
If selected, households must provide MOM with the required information or suffer a fine of up to $1,000.
The purpose of the survey is to collect data on unemployment and other economic characteristics of the population to help in the formulation of manpower-related policies and programmes.
Selected households will be notified by post, MOM said.
Those with internet access can use the Manpower Survey Online System (MSOL).
Those who prefer not to use the internet can provide their contact details to MOM at 6592 1067. A telephone interview will then be conducted.
Personal visits will be conducted if the households cannot be reached by telephone.
More information can be obtained from the MOM website at http://www.mom.gov.sg/hse.
