Singapore Pavilion wins Silver Award at Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea

The Singapore Pavilion at EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea (Yeosu Expo) was awarded the Silver Award for Theme Development at the Expo 2012 Official Participants Awards organised by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

The Singapore Pavilion was picked for the Silver Award winner from 24 participating countries in the same category.

A total of104 pavilions participated in the competition and were ranked based on creative display and theme development.

The judging panel comprised of eight judges - each an expert in the area of world expositions, architecture, and museum design and exhibitions.

The Singapore Pavilion, with the theme "Paradox-ity: City of Contrast", is inspired by the creative contrasts within the island city-state. It conveys how Singapore balances growth and development with environmental sustainability.
