The New Paper

I REFER to Tan Liang Kai's letter, "Please leave more space between expensive seats" (The New Paper, 14 Jan), regarding the narrow space between "the expensive seats" during Jacky Cheung's concert on 5 Jan at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

We are sorry that he experienced discomfort during the show and we appreciate that patrons who buy category 1 tickets to a concert should expect to see the entire performance from the comfort of their seats.

The promoter (in this case, Unusual Entertainments Pte Ltd) determined the seating plan and show format (with consideration to the comfort of the patrons) for the event, while the Singapore Indoor Stadium acts only as a venue provider.

We referred Mr Tan's feedback on this matter to the promoter for a response.

The promoter apologises for the inconvenience caused and will look into this matter to prevent such incidents from happening again in future shows.

We thank Mr Tan for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please be assured that any feedback received will be carefully considered and action will be taken when necessary to rectify issues within the control of the venue to improve the overall customer experience.
