IT WAS certainly wrong of the two 14-year-old boys to have tried to take upskirt photos of their female teacher, and they should not be excused from public caning.
This will serve to discourage other copycats.
The schools should inform their parents and give the boys a stern warning.
Having said that, the caning should not be given for the sake of punishment.
There should be a rehabilitative process in which we help the boys see that what they had done was wrong.
And they should also be given a chance to turn over a new leaf.
Female teachers should also be encouraged to dress appropriately, as inappropriate clothing may be a source of distraction to our teenage boys.
The schools should perhaps introduce a recommended dress code for their female teachers.
