Maid's heroic act should be applauded
Thu, May 08, 2008
The New Paper

I REFER to the report, "I could have escaped, but I love my 'Mum'" (The New Paper, 5 Apr).

Indonesian maid Ms Susanti's brave and heroic act should be commended by the police and applauded by our community alike.

She risked her life for the love for her employer and the child.

Because of her brave action, a greater tragedy did not happen.

She saved them. She is a hero.

Our society must show care and help her to recover from the injuries.
