S'pore-Malaysia ties cynics have agenda

THE warm reception Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and his team received during their recent visit across the Causeway underlines the cordial relations between Singapore and Malaysia.

Many view the exchanges between the two sides as a great success which augurs well for the future.

However, there are some cynics who made critical remarks. Such people are attempting to sow discord to serve their own agenda.

People here and in Malaysia have always maintained a close relationship, and they attach great importance to maintaining a climate of trust and openness, which will reap mutual benefits.
