Missing fire-safety devices at Shunfu

AT SHUNFU Food Centre last Friday at 10.30am, a wall fan on the second storey burned for about 10 seconds, with flames that shot up to half-a-metre high.

Surprisingly, there were no fire-safety devices like a circuit breaker to cut off the power supply. The fire also did not trigger any alarms.

Were the fire-safety devices and equipment defective or malfunctioning?
