Make spare home keys easy to find

IT WAS recently reported that a maid was trapped in a burning flat, and was rescued by the Singapore Civil Defence Force only after officers cut the padlock on the gate to free her.

Many families tuck their spare keys in a safe place at home, but home-owners may not be able to reach the keys easily in an emergency.

It is a good safety measure to hang a set of keys near the main door for easy retrieval.
