Taxi-stand bum rest gets in the way
Mon, Jan 11, 2010
my paper

THE railings-cum-bum rest at a taxi-stand in Commonwealth Avenue at Queenstown MRT station creates issues for the disabled and wheelchair-bound, as they have to manouevre their way around it.

The structure also gets in the way of passers-by and sticks out like a sore thumb on the walkway.

It should be removed so that taxi passengers and pedestrians can have more room.
