Standardise traffic light function for pedestrians

Traffic light junctions continue to be confusing places, not just for drivers, but pedestrians too.

At some junctions, pedestrians who want to cross the road have to press a button to activate the green man. But at other junctions they do not have to do so.

The Land Transport Authority should make it easier for pedestrians by getting all the lights to work the same way.

Otherwise pedestrians who do not know they have to press the button at a particular junction can end up waiting there a long time, thinking the light will turn green for them to cross.
