THE arrest of Rosli Yassin for the death of property agent Choo Xue Ying ended almost four weeks of anxiety for her brother, Mr Richard Choo.

It gives him a sense of closure over the death of his younger sister.

Mr Choo, a businessman in his 50s, said: "I do not know who the man is. He might have been one of my sister's clients because she always met with various people during her work."

Mr Choo said his sister used to live with him and their 70-year-old mother at his Upper Boon Keng Road flat, but she moved out six months ago.

She shared a one-room flat in Eunos with an 82-year-old former neighbour, Mr Lu Zhen Zong.

He said: "She did not live with us and we hardly knew her personal life. We praise the police for their hard work."

AsiaOne reported on 31 Oct that Ms Choo used to have a boyfriend, and they dated for 10 years before they broke up three years ago.

A check with property agency Propnex, where Ms Choo worked since last year, turned up nothing concerning how Ms Choo knew Rosli.

Corporate communications manager Adam Tan said: "We knew very little about the personal life of Ms Choo Xue Ying. We have no knowledge of her association with Rosli Yassin."
