THE PERFECT run continues for Lee Seon Hwa at the Lexus Cup. Making her fourth consecutive appearance at the Lexus Cup, the South Korean golfer won her opening foursomes match yesterday to maintain her 100 per cent record at the annual team event. The 22-year-old partnered Taiwan's world No. 2 Tseng Ya-ni to a 2 and 1 victory over the Team International pair of Suzann Pettersen and Natalie Gulbis. That was her seventh consecutive win at the Lexus Cup, which confirmed her status as one of the best matchplay specialists in the world. The rising star said that there is no secret formula to her winning ways. She just tries to keep her feet firmly on the ground at all times. She told The New Paper: 'I'm quite cool and level-headed. I don't get emotional and I never lose my temper on the course.' Chemistry Despite having to communicate with each other in limited English, Lee credited the win to good chemistry with her playing partner Tseng. 'Ya-ni and I played really solid together to win the round,' Lee said. 'She has a really good personality and she's the funnier one between the two of us. 'Our playing styles also complement each other very well. The Bukit course is long and narrow. 'I hit the ball pretty straight and Ya-ni has a good drive. So we make a really good pair.' Lee was the youngest female golfer to turn professional in Korea at the age of 14. Her maiden LPGA Tour victory came at the HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship last year where she recorded a 6-0-0 record after entering the event as the 22nd seed. She qualified for the Lexus Cup with two Tour victories this season. Team Asia will be hoping to feed off Lee's red-hot form to claim a third straight victory over Team International led by Annika Sorenstam. The score is tied at 3-3 after the opening foursomes. Lee is looking to stretch that perfect record in the fourballs today and in the singles tomorrow. She said: 'We're in a good position right now and we're looking forward to the weekend. 'I'll be playing with Pak Se Ri tomorrow. We've played together before, so I think we're going to make a good team. 'I'm a little bit tired because of jet-lag, but I think I can maintain the good record.'
