IF THERE is one thing I learnt about Sweden, it's that they promise goals.
It's down to the way they approach the game.
As their final group game against Serbia showed, they don't really know how to play defensive football even in games that they need not win.
Sweden's opening match brought in a total tally of six goals, with Belarus at the receiving end of a 5-1 pounding.
Against Italy, the match yielded a total of three goals as they lost 2-1.
Then, in a game which they only needed to draw to qualify for the semi-finals, the game registered a total of four goals as they beat Serbia 3-1.
So, it's really no surprise that Sweden are the tournament's top-scorers with nine goals.
With striker Marcus Berg leading the top-scorer's chart with five goals, you would expect the team to find the net again against England.
However, England are not exactly shy in front of goal as well. They have scored five goals in three games so far.
And in Fraizer Campbell, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Theo Walcott, they have players who know where the back of the net is.
Too close
I shall refrain from betting on the 1x2 ticket, as I think the game is too close to call. Don't be surprised if the game goes to a penalty shoot-out, too.
Instead, I would recommend going for '3' or '4' on the Total Goals coupon, like I did for the Sweden-Serbia match.
The Italy-Germany game looks slightly more straightforward.
After having backed Germany for the last two matches, I feel like I have survived seven cardiac arrests and nine nervous breakdowns.
It's not just that they are so frustrating to watch.
Following a fine performance against Spain in their opening group game, they have struggled since.
Italy, though, are made of sterner stuff.
The way they beat Sweden with 10 men was impressive.
Then, they showed resilience by coming back from a deficit to beat Belarus 2-1 in their final group game.
On form alone, Italy should have what it takes to defeat Germany in 90 minutes.
