Lin is shown posing titillatingly in a leopard print bikini, kneeling on the sand while showing off her cleavage.

Mr Teng said the photos were taken in 1990, while both women holidayed in Paris.

He said: "Posing in the Mediterranean isn't too bad. They felt free to do as they liked as nobody recognised them."

Both celebrities apparently agreed to hold each other's photos for safekeeping, but the pictures somehow got lost. It is not known who has the original photos now.

To commemorate Teng, a Teresa Teng conference opened in Taipei on Friday, bringing Asian academics and musicians together to discuss her contribution to Taiwanese music.

In addition to her multi-platinum records and blockbuster movies, Teng also broke many records during her 30-year career, reported Radio Taiwan International.
