FERNANDO Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen have dismissed Bernie Ecclestone's claim that Lewis Hamilton would make a better world champion.

The Formula One supremo said last weekend that Alonso has 'done nothing' for the sport since winning back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006.

Raikkonen, he added, 'barely talks to anyone'.

'Everyone has his opinion,' said Alonso, who pointed out that his success had raised interest in Spain.

Raikkonen added: 'I don't really care too much what people say about me.'

Meanwhile, Williams have announced that their test driver Kazuki Nakajima will replace Alexander Wurz for the final Grand Prix of the season in Brazil on Oct 21.

Wurz, 33, decided to quit Formula One on Monday.
