Stop griping - take cab only if it's urgent
Mon, Nov 19, 2007
The Straits Times

DAY in and day out, commuters complain about taxis - too expensive, no taxi here, no taxi there. Commuters always compare with other countries. Stop comparing.

If you think taxi rides are too expensive, stop taking taxis and use the MRT trains. No one is forcing you.

If you want a taxi when you need one, call for one. That's life. If you want first- class service, you must pay for it. I never take a taxi unless it's really urgent.

Have you ever considered: Are taxi drivers allowed to impose a diesel surcharge as airlines have done when the price of diesel goes up?
