HONG KONG - Vincy Yeung, the girlfriend of singer-actor Edison Chen, has apparently become the latest victim in the Hong Kong celebrity sex-photo scandal, after more than 200 new pictures emerged online last Saturday.
Three pictures showed a nude woman resembling Yeung, the niece of tycoon Albert Yeung, standing in a shower.
Naked or underwear-clad women looking like actress Cecilia Cheung, singer Gillian Chung and former actress Bobo Chan featured in the other photos.
Apple Daily said the 200 pictures were among two batches of photos sent out by Internet user 'Kira', who had promised before the Chinese New Year holidays to release a sex video of Chen and Chung. The pictures were posted on websites based in the Chinese mainland and in the United States. To date, the video has not been posted.
An earlier lot of 210 pictures, released last Wednesday, had allegedly featured model and former actress Rachel Ngan, ex-singer Candice Chan and Mandy Chen, a 2001 Miss Chinese International contestant.
The sex photos had started surfacing on Jan 27. Photos purportedly of Cheung, Chung and Chen were among the first seen circulating.
The new pictures have emerged despite claims by the police that they had found the source of the photos after a man was charged with accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent.
But police believe the new pictures are among the 1,300 they had uncovered last week with their arrests of people linked to the case.
Yeung, 19, is a university student in Boston in the US. Her uncle is chairman of the Emperor Group of companies.
She and Chen have been dating since 2004 and came out as a couple in 2006. He once said that he would marry her when he had earned US$20 million (S$28.3 million).
Meanwhile, Chung would address the media today to 'clarify the rumours', said her manager Mani Fok.
