Have more CNG kiosks to encourage 'green' cars
Mon, Feb 11, 2008
The Straits Times
I CONVERTED my vehicle to use compressed natural gas (CNG) but drove around with an empty tank for a month until the Jalan Buroh station opened last Thursday.

Even with the Jalan Buroh station operational, it is very difficult for owners of CNG vehicles to fill up - the new station has restricted operating hours, from 7.30am to 6.30pm.

Many of us are unable to reach the station within that time, especially on weekdays. Also some have to drive 20-30km just to fill up.

I urge the authorities to have more CNG kiosks across the island to encourage more 'green' cars on the road. Also, extend their operations to 24 hours.
