A FIVE-GOAL rush in the last five minutes proved the undoing of Singapore at the Fisher & Paykel Nations Cup yesterday.

The crushing comeback by their Sri Lankan rivals, who won 66-63, has now dented the hosts' title defence.

With debutants Botswana replicating the form that saw them finish 10th at the World Championship with a comprehensive 49-34 win over the development team of Samoa, the race for the third edition of the Cup is now wide open.
