The Business Times

SINGTEL has sold more than 20,000 units of the Apple iPhone 3G since the device was launched three weeks ago.

This is the first time the telco has given a clear indication of sales after securing an exclusive deal with Apple to distribute the phone here ahead of rivals StarHub and MobileOne (M1). The phone, he added, is 'one of SingTel's fastest selling handsets ever (and) interest in the iPhone 3G remains high'.

The Straits Times understands that the majority of new iFlexi subscribers had previously been StarHub and M1 subscribers. The new iFlexi plans are priced from $56 to $205 a month, making these subscribers relatively 'high-value customers'.
