Yudhoyono on safari hunt for votes

INDONESIAN President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono marked his 59th birthday and his last year in office this month by going on a safari.

The journey is not the traditional expedition to seek out wildlife in its natural surroundings.

On the contrary, the Safari Ramadan - safari means journey in Bahasa Indonesia - is his attempt to get up close and personal with the people during the Muslim fasting month.
