Food importers bogged down by food recall

Singapore importers have been kept on their toes recalling China- made milk and milk products over the past week.

This was in response to a directive from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) on Sept 19 to recall all such items, pending test results for contamination.

While the bottom-line impact has been minimal, importers said these measures have put a strain on their resources.
