A man fractured his leg when he tried to make a run for it after attempting to snatch a handbag from a woman on Friday night.

The man, a Malaysian, tried to grab the bag from a 27-year-old sales assistant who was walking towards Braddell MRT station in Toa Payoh.

He also tried to snatch her mobile phone.
