INTELLECTUAL Ventures has put up cash that has helped turn everything from cellphone components to nuclear technology from pipe dreams into reality.
Now the United States-based firm, which manages an investment pool of US$5 billion (S$7.2 billion), is looking to Asia for the the next big idea and has tabbed Singapore as its main launching point.
Yesterday, the company opened its regional headquarters in Bugis, capping a five-year courtship by the Economic Development Board.
