TECHNOLOGY firm Avocent has chosen Singapore as its Asia-Pacific headquarters to continue its regional growth.

The firm, which helps infocomm firms manage their infrastructure more efficiently, plans to invest $14 million in its centre at New Tech Park over the next five years.

The facility will house Avocent's 30 to 40 employees in sales and operations, but it will focus on developing research and development capabilities, said chief executive Michael Borman.
