Right now, my part of England is basking in an idyllic autumn. The fall is coming, the trees are a kaleidoscope of coloured foliage under clear sky.
The dark cloud is out there somewhere. It comes in the shape of The Sunday Times editor asking for a vision of England's Premier League - the other side of a global financial meltdown.
