New life for Haw Par Villa?

WINDS of change could again sweep through Haw Par Villa, the theme park in Pasir Panjang famed for its lavish statues and dioramas depicting scenes from Chinese folklore and history.

Going by what sources told The Straits Times and details of a tender called by park owner Singapore Tourism Board (STB), a hunt is on for a developer to give the place a new lease of life.

STB placed a tender on the Government's business portal GeBiz in August to find - for a start - a new operator for Hua Song Museum in the park's grounds.
