The musical Avenue Q features singing and dancing muppets. But it is no child's play for the actors involved.

For 2 1/2 hours on stage, they have to support puppets on their arms and shoulders, speak and sing through the puppets - all while making the cheeky Broadway production seem like a breeze.

Avenue Q, ostensibly inspired by the children's programme Sesame Street, is actually an adult comedy about 20-something Manhattanites trying to figure out what their lives and dreams are. The title refers to the street the characters live in.
