No tax breaks for charity's donors

A CHARITY known for helping foreign workers has lost its Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status or the right to collect tax-deductible donations.

The Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (Home) failed to get its IPC status renewed when it expired last year.

The National Council of Social Service (NCSS) said it did not renew Home's IPC status as the charity has 'yet to comply with certain IPC requirements'.
