The Straits Times

By Stephanie Yap, in los angeles

Even with his right arm in a sling, English actor Daniel Craig cuts a striking, suitably suave figure as he strides into the room at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills.

Clad in a dark suit with a cornflower-blue tie that matches his eyes, he pretty much seems at first glance like his most famous celluloid character, James Bond, right down to his dismissiveness when it comes to discussing his injury.

'I had shoulder surgery. I had a tear and it's okay, it's all good. It's just healing slowly and I have to wear this for the time being just so I don't damage it more,' says the 40-year-old Chester-born actor briskly, if affably, as he smiles around the table of five journalists.
