Over 560 vie for 100 jobs in health care

THE health-care industry is in a healthy state, at least where jobs are concerned.

The Singapore General Hospital (SGH) was looking to hire 100 workers at a recruitment fair held at the Tampines North Community Club yesterday, but more than five times that number turned up to look for work.

The positions available at yesterday's fair, which was jointly organised by SGH and the North East Community Development Council (CDC), ranged from health professionals, nurses and health-care assistants to administrative vocations for hospital support services.
