SINGAPORE'S buzzing film industry is getting its own awards to honour talented film-makers, screen writers and actors.
Called the Singapore Film Awards, it is organised by the Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF), and is for feature-length films.
Mr Zhang Wenjie, 34, festival director of the SIFF, said: 'The Singapore film industry has been getting more vibrant in the past few years and feature film productions have increased to an average of 10 or more a year.
