Home Team goes on hiring blitz

By Carolyn Quek

WANTED - over 1,000 new recruits to fill the ranks of the Home Team, with sign-on bonuses for some jobs.

The Home Affairs Ministry (MHA) is on a hiring spree to shore up shortages in many of its agencies, with an eye especially on school-leavers, mid-career workers and those who have recently been retrenched.

It is holding a major recruitment fair this weekend, its first centralised effort in at least eight years.
