F&N to keep Times publishing arm

FRASER & Neave (F&N) has decided to keep its publishing and printing business for now, owing to poor market conditions.

In a statement yesterday, the diversified group said that it had initiated a sales pro- cess of Times Publishing, which includes Times Bookstores in Singapore and Malaysia, based on a show of interest from investors and the advice of Morgan Stanley.

This followed a review of its options for the print and publishing business.
