Naysayers are out in full force in the media and online, after she agreed to marry author Nieh despite the media saga sparked by his kiss with a student.

He announced their marriage plans on Thursday, just a week after the couple said they were breaking up and days after he stated in an interview that a reconciliation was impossible.
