Convict who sued Govt over caning back in jail

THE man who made headlines for being given three more strokes of the cane than he had been sentenced to is back in the news again.

Dickson Tan Yong Wen, 21, who already has a conviction for moneylending activities, was yesterday sent back to jail for 16 months - for abetment of unlicensed moneylending.

He admitted in a district court to four of seven charges of abetting an unknown illegal moneylender on Nov 5.
