Taiwan appoints new rep to S'pore

TAIPEI: Taiwan yesterday announced that a Cabinet spokesman will be the island's new representative to Singapore, reported local media.

Ms Vanessa Shih, 47, served as deputy representative to Australia before joining the Cabinet as the director of the Government Information Office this year.

She also doubles as the spokesman for the Executive Yuan, the Cabinet.
