The Straits Times

The arts scene in Singapore is hopping, judging by attendances at arts events.

Leading the charge into theatres and galleries are three-room HDB flat dwellers, O-level holders, members of the Malay community and those aged 35 to 49 years old.

The percentages of these arts goers increased markedly between 2002 and 2005, according to the National Arts Council.
