THE swimming programme at the Singapore Sports School (SSS) is set for a revamp, led by a new man at the helm.

Clive Rushton, 61, the former high-performance programmes director for Swimming New Zealand, has been appointed the SSS' new head coach for swimming.

At the top of his agenda: Tweaking the current programme so that swimmers focus on aerobic development - rather than specialising too early in a certain stroke.
