Bibiks are hot stuff

Drama serial The Little Nyonya may have just ended but the hit Channel 8 show has whet fans' appetite for all things Peranakan.

Take, for example, sisters Sharmine and Demi Ng. They used to complain every time they had to don the sarong kebaya, the traditional Peranakan costume, for Chinese New Year.

But this year, they practically dragged mum Sandy Eng to the boutique so they could get kebayas similar to those worn by the show's main characters, Yueniang (Jeanette Aw) and Yuzhu (Joanne Peh).
