Love in a time of polygamy

Love is in the air when it comes to works by Singapore playwright Desmond Sim at the moment.

The co-writer of local movie The Wedding Game, about a celebrity wedding between real-life couple Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, has a play about to open with a love theme as well.

The play, Singapore Love Letters, was inspired by old movie ticket stubs with love messages scribbled on the back, and also by a photograph of a man with two wives, from a time when polygamy was still legal here.
