JORDAN could be forced to play their Asian Cup home qualifying matches at a neutral ground, after an 'unprovoked attack' on their Singapore hosts.
They could also lose some key players. Based on precedent, those responsible for the violence after the Lions' 2-1 victory on Wednesday would face heavy suspensions and fines.
The Asian Football Confederation, the competition's sanctioning body, told The Straits Times yesterday it had received preliminary reports of a scuffle that broke out after the Group E match.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW
'The procedure regarding such incidents is that the AFC compiles reports from various match officials. These reports are then submitted to the AFC disciplinary committee, and its decisions are announced on our website as soon as they are available.' -SEAN TOHIDI, AFC director of media and communications
